Fits these Teslas
Applying PPF (Paint Protection Film) to the door handles of the Tesla Model Y and Model 3 is an excellent way to protect these vulnerable areas from scratches, minor impacts and other damage that can occur through everyday use.
Product details
Among the areas that are touched most frequently, the door handles are particularly prone to wear and tear, which is why protecting them with PPF is important.
**Materials you’ll need:**
1. PPF film suitable for the door handles of the Tesla Model Y and Model 3.
2. A spray bottle filled with soapy water (mix water with a few drops of liquid soap).
3. A squeegee with a rubber tip for application.
4. Scissors or precision cutters.
**Installation steps:**
1. **Cleaning the door handles**: Start by thoroughly cleaning the car’s door handles. Remove any dust, grease or dirt that could prevent the film from adhering properly.
2. **Preparing the film**: Cut the film to a size slightly larger than the door handles to make application easier. Spray soapy water onto the surface of the handle and the back of the film.
3. **Applying the film**: Carefully position the film over the handle. The soapy water will give you some leeway to move the film around so that you can align it correctly. Use the squeegee to remove any water and air bubbles, working from the centre outwards.
4. **Adjustment and trimming**: Once the film is in place, carefully trim off the excess film around the handle. Make sure the edges are well fitted and free of creases or bubbles.
5. **Drying and checking**: Leave the film to dry thoroughly. If you notice any small air bubbles, you can remove them by pressing gently with the squeegee or waiting for them to disappear naturally after a few days.
By protecting the door handles of your Tesla Model Y or Model 3 with PPF, you ensure that they remain in pristine condition, preserving the appearance and value of your car. The process is relatively simple and, with a little care, can even be carried out by someone with no experience.
