Product details
If you own a Tesla Model 3 Highland and want to protect its headlights, having PPF fitted is an excellent option. The best thing is that you can fit it yourself, as long as you follow a few basic steps.
**Materials you’ll need:**
1. PPF film specially designed for headlights.
2. A spray bottle filled with soapy water (you can make this with water and a few drops of liquid soap).
3. A rubber-tipped squeegee for applying the film.
4. Scissors or a cutter for cutting the film.
**Installation steps:**
1. **Cleaning the headlights**: Before you start, make sure the headlights are completely clean and dry. Any dust or dirt may become trapped under the film and cause bubbles or imperfections.
2. **Preparing the film**: Cut the film to a size slightly larger than the headlight to give you room to manoeuvre. Spray plenty of soapy water onto both the film and the headlight.
3. **Applying the film**: Carefully position the film over the headlight. Use the squeegee to gently press down on the film and remove any excess water and air bubbles. Start from the centre and work your way out towards the edges.
4. **Trimming and cutting**: After application, use scissors or a cutter to remove any excess film around the lights. Make sure the edges are firmly adhered and free of creases.
5. **Drying and checking**: Leave the film to dry naturally for a few hours or even a day. Check the headlights for any bubbles or areas that need extra pressure.
With these simple steps, you can protect the headlights of your Tesla Model 3 Highland and ensure they remain in pristine condition for many years to come. The process may seem complicated, but with a little patience and attention to detail, you can carry it out successfully on your own.
